What is GetAdvice?
GetAdvice is an AI-powered study companion that helps students learn, understand concepts, prep for exams, and build new skills. It uses advanced AI technology to provide personalized tutoring and homework help.
How does GetAdvice use AI?
GetAdvice uses a third-party AI service (xAI) to generate responses. When you send a message, your message text is sent to xAI's servers for processing. No personal information such as your name, email, or device identifiers is sent — only the content of your conversation messages.
Is my data private?
Yes. Anonymous users' conversations are not stored after the session ends. If you choose to sign in, your profile and chat history are stored securely in Google Firebase so you can sync across devices. We do not sell, share, or use any data for advertising or tracking purposes.
Is GetAdvice a substitute for my teacher?
No. GetAdvice is a study companion — it helps you learn and understand concepts, but it's not a replacement for your teachers, textbooks, or classroom instruction. Always verify important information and consult your instructors when in doubt. If you are in crisis, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.
Will GetAdvice just give me the answers to my homework?
GetAdvice is designed to teach, not to hand out answers. It walks you through problems step by step, explains concepts, and helps you build understanding so you can solve similar problems on your own.

Tap the "New Chat +" button at the top of the screen to clear the current conversation and start a fresh study session.
What devices does GetAdvice support?
GetAdvice works on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and any modern web browser at getadviceapp.com. The native iOS and macOS apps provide the best experience with full device integration.
